Person with Communication Challenges

I’m Denise and I have aphasia. I attend the Adler Aphasia Center in New Jersey. I decided that we need more activities, so we started the club Outrageous for Aphasia. We take day trips and have also gone to see a play. We are going to be going on a classic train in July and whale watching in August. We plan one trip a month. It’s open for everyone who has aphasia and their families. The Adler Aphasia Center has two locations and members from both locations participate. We have a lot of fun. Twenty or more people have gone on each trip, and we are growing.

  1. Hi Denise! Thank you for sharing. How do we learn more about your club? We’d like to know when and where you meet. Are the trips wheelchair friendly?
