May 6, 2011, Danny saved his sister’s life. The man attacking her, turned his rage on Danny when Danny pulled him off his sister. He stabbed Danny 34 times, 19 of them in his brain. Danny was left with hemiparalysis on his right side and aphasia. He was 27 years old. A lawyer for children, a drummer, runner, and an avid reader. He is fighting everyday to reclaim his life. As a parent, mom, I find it heart breaking and frustrating to watch. Wishing with all I am that I could fix it all.
